In December our dear colleague Dr. Lawrence Cabac had the privilege of talking at the #ABAPConf 2022!
He shared his knowledge on ABAP Quickfixes for S4/HANA Conversions.
For everyone who couln't attend the ABAPConf we wanted to share a quick summary of his talk.
So here we go!
In general, an ABAP Quickfix for S4 Conversions is an Eclipse ADT Plugin.
This Plugin extends the ABAP Quickfix Plugin with fixes targeting tasks that occur frequently during S4 Conversion projects.
The most prominent feature is to convert select single statements in to select/endselect ... up to 1 rowsstatement.
Now Order-by lists can be configured for the data base tables, even if the primary key is not suitable for ordering (e.g. tables with UUID).
The plugin is available for recent eclipse versions and several order-by list are provided by the default preferences.
